About the game
A story-driven tactics RPG with a deckbuilder. Build your army, build your deck, and bend every battle with the hand you draw.
Every 77 years the stars fall from the sky. The last time, they burned a kingdom to ash. You are Cael Astra, a first-year cadet at the Astral Academy, the one school all four nations share. It trains their children to fight what falls. On the road to school you pull a torn page out of a fresh crater, and back at the Academy a damaged old book starts answering to you, and only you. That book is your deck.
You move every unit on a grid map. Each turn you also draw five cards and spend three energy to play them: teleport a cadet out of danger, shield an ally, heal, give someone a second action, or swap two allies. Between battles you choose which cards to carry and how to upgrade them, and spend your free days at the Academy with a cast from all four nations.

How it's made
We use generative AI openly in making Voidstar Tactics, under the developer's direction, choosing and editing every result.
The character portraits, backgrounds, key art and logo, map tiles, card art, character sprites and interface art were generated with OpenAI's image model, then selected and edited. The character voices and most sound effects were made with ElevenLabs, and the music with Suno. The story, the game design and the direction are the developer's own. Nothing in the game is generated by AI while you play.
